Kaiser Permanente is investing in building new connections within the community to meet the growing needs of our membership. We are pleased to announce that Kaiser Permanente Colorado and HealthONE have reached an agreement to expand access to medical services for Kaiser Permanente members.
As a result, nearly 140,000 members living in the southern portion of our service area will have more convenient access to care when they need it. Beginning February 1, 2008 Kaiser Permanente members can receive emergency and after-hours care at Centennial Medical Office Plaza and Swedish Southwest Emergency Room. In addition, if patients are admitted to Swedish Medical Center or SkyRidge Medical Center, the providers at those locations will work with Kaiser Permanente physicians to monitor and maintain the highest level of care at those facilities. We will continue using HealthONE services on a more regular basis as the relationship evolves.
The Exempla Healthcare system will remain our primary inpatient and emergency services provider for our members. We will continue a strategic relationship with the Exempla Health System – Saint Joseph Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center while providing greater access to our members through HealthOne. This step marks important investment in supporting consumer choice that complements our expanded insurance product portfolio. |
